The Inner Trip Foundation supports about 7 students annually from Asia (including South Asia/India) and Latin America. The ¥50,000/month stipend can be combined with other scholarships up to a ¥50,000 total cap.
South Asia (including India) explicitly eligible. Age ≤30 (undergraduate) or ≤35 (graduate). JLPT N2 recommended. University nomination required. Monthly meetings in Tokyo mandatory. Interview conducted in Japanese.
For students from South Asia/India who can attend monthly Tokyo meetings and interview in Japanese. The catch: mandatory monthly gatherings in Tokyo and Japanese proficiency required.
