The JDS India scholarship is a fully-funded 2-year master's program for Indian government officials at 5 graduate schools: U Tokyo (GraSPP + Engineering), Hitotsubashi (SIPA), Waseda (GSAPS), and Kobe (GSICS). JICA sponsors 9 officials per year across public policy, urban engineering, and international cooperation fields.
INDIA-EXCLUSIVE: For serving Indian government officials in 41 eligible services (IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, IES, ISS, CSS, etc.). Age 22–45. Bachelor's degree required. English proficiency required.
For serving Indian civil servants in 41 eligible services (IAS, IPS, IFS, etc.). The catch: you must be nominated by your ministry/department — individual applications are not accepted.
